
Anne Rowlands
Director of Student Achievement K-12
Having joined Dubai American Academy in 2017, Anne Rowlands brings over two decades of educational experience spanning five continents to her role as Director of Student Achievement. Anne holds a Master of Science in Educational Technology from California State University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Her extensive teaching background includes leadership roles in the International Baccalaureate (IB) and A-Level Biology programs, curriculum development, and student mentorship.
Anne is passionate about fostering student growth and success. She helped establish the Duke of Edinburgh Award at DAA, promoting outdoor education and life skills development through adventure and service. As a mother of two boys, she enjoys sports and the outdoors and values the balance between personal growth, well-being, and academic achievement.
Anne's role at DAA centers on using data to drive student assessment and achievement. She works closely with staff, students, and parents to maintain and elevate the school’s high standards of learning and academic excellence.
