Academic Results
Over the past four years, the International Baccalaureate exam results of DAA students have been consistently higher than the world-wide mean, both in individual subject grades and overall total scores.
The Graduating Class of 2009 achieved a mean score in the May 2009 exam session that was four points higher than the mean score world-wide for that session.
The overall pass rate of DAA students in 2009 was 95%, greatly exceeding the world-wide pass rate of 78%.
In the Elementary School at DAA, students taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) score one to two years above grade level in the areas of Reading, Language, and Math.
In the DAA Middle School, students taking the ITBS also score one to two years above grade level in the areas of Reading, Language, and Math.

Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau Report (DSIB)
The Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DISB) inspected DAA in 2009-2010.
The report stated that the school had many outstanding characteristics and that its key features were:
- A school where teaching strategies went beyond the textbooks and broadened the opportunity for all students to learn successfully
- Enrichment of the school’s curriculum through many out of classroom activities and the Life Skills program
- The school’s attention to the well-being of the students was outstanding
- Shared common vision by the senior leadership for the school community

- A caring attitude for all students in the multi-cultural school community
