Our American curriculum program of studies and extra-curricular activities are successful because of our partnership with parents. Parents, students, and teachers establish and share a vision to create a plan for accomplishing goals that help students grow and develop their talents and abilities through the ‘Hopes and Dreams’ conferences each year.
The Dubai American Academy
Parent Association (DAAPA) provides a valued energy and support to enrichment events and welcome to new families to DAA. An elected group of involved parents host numerous events throughout the year. All parents are members of the Association and welcome to all DAAPA meetings.
GEMS Parent Relationship Programmes include:
• Regular communication between school and home
• Monthly newsletters
• Monthly telephone calls from teachers to discuss progress
• Email updates from teaching staff to parents
• SMS messaging to inform of important events / reminders
• High service standards emulating the hospitality industry
